How to tell whether the charger is fast charging or slow charging?

1. Check the charger logo

Most chargers will have information such as output current and voltage marked on the shell. If it is a fast charging charger, it will usually be clearly marked with words such as fast charging or Quick Charge on the shell. If you can’t find these logos, it is likely to be an ordinary slow charging charger.

2. Check the charger output voltage

Generally speaking, the output voltage of a slow charging charger will be lower than that of a fast charging charger. The common slow charger output voltage is 5V, while the fast charging charger will output a higher voltage, such as 9V, 12V, etc. Therefore, you can determine whether it is fast charging or slow charging by checking the voltage information of the charger.

3. Check the charging current of the mobile phone

The current value when the mobile phone is charging can also be used to determine whether the charger currently used is fast charging or slow charging. Generally speaking, the current value when fast charging is higher, which can reach 2A or more, while the current value when slow charging is lower, usually below 1A. If you want to determine whether the charger is fast charging, you can use a software that supports charging current monitoring to check it, such as Ampere or CurrentWidget.

In summary, through the above methods, you can easily identify whether the charger is fast charging or slow charging, so as to choose the appropriate charger to charge your mobile phone or other devices.
